Customs to adopt new, faster system in releasing of cargoes in Port of CDO
The Bureau of Customs said the port is “set to undertake the first ASEAN Standard Time-Cargo Releasing System Project in November 2020” covering bulk and break-bulk cargoes in Northern Mindanao.
Pre-selected companies classified as “most trusted traders engaged in the movement of bulk and break-bulk cargoes in Northern Mindanao” will participate in the pilot project. It will, however, not cover containerized cargoes. The project will be executed by the Office of the Strategy Management of the Port of Cagayan de Oro headed by Atty. Roswald Pague.
