Damien Halpin finds himself entangled in a dangerous scheme orchestrated by Ciaran Holloway, involving drug smuggling and blackmail. As pressure mounts, Damien seeks advice from his brother Jimmy while Mairead struggles with the consequences of her involvement.
Jimmy Doyle advises Damien Halpin to forget what Ciaran Holloway said about his dead sister Laura Halpin on Fair City .His intensions become apparent when he blackmails Damien to smuggle drugs into the prison through his wife Mairead.
Damien is stunned when he comes face to face with his ex-wife Suzanne Doyle who is visiting her brother, Jimmy in the prison. Ashamed for having put Mairead in a dangerous position, Damien tells Ciaran that he won’t do any more of his bidding. Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Mairead grapples with Damien’s alarming request to smuggle in drugs for him. Dolores is concerned when Mairead deviates from their plan to visit Damien together.
Orla and Dolores visit Damien in Mairead’s stead and berate him for putting her in such a precarious position. The women urge Damien to tell the prison guards what’s happening but he refuses.
