A new Moana 2 clip has dropped for the upcoming animated sequel, starring Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson.
“The film reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers,” reads the official synopsis. “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”The video provides fans with a closer look at Maui’s return as he shows off his transformation powers.
Moana 2 is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller from a screenplay co-written by Miller and Jared Bush. The original was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It was not only a commercial success with a gross of over $600 million, but it also earned positive reviews from critics and earned two Oscar nominations including Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
